Although employed, Frank was barely able to pay his bills. His position as a labourer in construction paid minimum wage and he was feeling stuck in his current situation. He had always dreamed of apprenticing for a plumber. He had relevant past experience but found it challenging to break into the field.

Once Frank became involved with the team at Community Employment Services (CES), he received support to target his resume and cover letter to the plumbing industry. He was also able to utilize free workshops, career counselling, and labour market information. With the support of the CES team, he was able to access a network of local employers seeking motivated employees to fill their hiring needs.

Frank was hired by a plumbing employer and is gaining valuable skills needed to start an apprenticeship. He was grateful for the opportunity to work in his desired field and encourages others to connect with CES. Frank looks forward to creating a stable future for himself, thanks to the team at Community Employment Services.
