Job Description

Qualifications

-Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
-Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
-Basic ECG interpretation course
-Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
-Advanced ECG interpretation course
-Current Canadian Triage Acuity Scale (CTAS) Certification
-Current Non-violent crisis intervention (NVCI) course
-Current IV Initiation Skills - adult and paediatric
-Added skills – IV Below Drip Chamber administration
-Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
-NRP, PALS, ENPC preferred
-Emergency Nursing Program Diploma an asset
-Minimum 6 months Emergency experience within last 3 years
-Minimum 3 years Medical/Surgical experience preferred
-Critical Care experience an asset
-Excellent Public Relation, organizational and communication skills
-Able to work in a fast paced multidisciplinary setting
-Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position
-Documented commitment to continuing education through in-service, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
-Satisfactory Attendance
-Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
-Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check
-Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses)
