Job Description
Join an award winning family run responsible agritourism business and work with an amazing team of people and animals! Spring at the farm brings lots of opportunity for learning, maintenance and new developments.
The role will be supporting the team to maintain the grounds and animals.
Key responsibilities include
- Learn about and actively participate in the care and maintenance of animals and their surroundings. This will include cleaning, bedding, feeding, animal health and maintenance, care of their pastures and facilities etc
- Upkeep and maintenance of the grounds including things like: gardening, painting, grass cutting, etc
For the right candidate this role could be combined with our farm market store customer service role for a full time position (up to end of October) and part time combined Nov to April
Education
Experience Required
Must be able to:
- get to and from the farm on own
- be able to take direction and work independently and efficiently on tasks
- be physically capable of standing, walking, squatting, carrying loads of up to 25kg in all weather
- be comfortable around animals and take great care in their health and wellbeing
- be comfortable and taking caution in using tools and equipment - following all safety guidelines
- be welcoming and personable to guests
