Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our team at VDK Group. As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in managing our procurement process, ensuring that we have the right materials and components to meet our production needs. Your efforts will contribute to the success of our company by maintaining efficient inventory levels and fostering strong supplier relationships. The successful candidate will work with our purchasing team to order product from suppliers, build and maintain relationships with suppliers, keep track of all purchase orders and make sure product is received and properly updated. If you have a proven track record of successfully building and maintaining employee and supplier relationships, as well as a keen eye for detail and an ability to find the best prices, we are interested in you. 

         Purchasing of components, hardware, and/or complete window/door units

  • Inventory Management
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers
  • Coordinate with production management to ensure timely arrival of goods
  • Customer service
  • Provide assistance to estimating team as required
  • Ensure positive customer relations by overseeing all aspects of purchasing, scheduling as it relates to VDK Group production.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

  • Two years experience in a windows & doors environment is a major asset.
  • Purchasing experience is a major asset.
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent analysis skills.
  • Ability to take initiative & responsibility to take over the purchasing department and manage all administrative requirements as it relates to VDK door production
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
