Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at VDK Group. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and streamlining our accounts payable processes. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliers, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Additionally, you will work closely with our procurement team to ensure a seamless financial flow and keep track of all financial transactions related to purchases. If you have a proven track record of managing accounts payable efficiently, possess strong organizational skills, and have an eye for detail, we are excited to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
  • Issue payments to suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and control reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments eg. Purchasing to improve financial processes.
  • Cost analysis and reporting.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain good vendor relationships.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits as needed.
  • Inventory Management

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Experience in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Must be able to respond and adapt quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Intermediate proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Thrives in a digital environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
  • Mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
