Job Description

About the Role:
NUC Summer Day Camp is seeking an Leadership Program Supervisor to help lead our team of camp counsellors and young leaders. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the camp runs smoothly, positively, and safely for both staff and campers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively oversee camp staff, campers, and overall operations with the Camp Director.
  • Ensure strong leadership presence on-site at all times; 
  • Meaningful relationships with campers and staff through active participation and open communication.
  • Support and guide Camp Counsellors, Leaders in Training (LITs), and Junior Leaders in their development.
  • Conduct formal staff reviews and evaluations and provide regular, constructive feedback.
  • Set individualized goals for staff and track their progress throughout the summer.
  • Assist in conflict resolution and provide mentorship during challenges.
  • Oversee snack preparation and delegate tasks to LITs and Junior Leaders.

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities
  • Experience working with children and youth in a camp or educational setting
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide thoughtful feedback and guide others in professional development
  • A team player who brings enthusiasm, compassion, and energy to the role
  • Background in education, recreation, social work, or a related field is an asset
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
