At our Woodstock Facility, we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck and specialty vehicles. We feature various types of welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.

Job Description

Responsible for following detailed schematics or blueprints to Weld, and Finish specific components and materials to meet customer requirements and specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to weld with mig, and stick to required specifications.
  • Communicate and work with co-workers to develop fixture concepts.
  • Perform welding, grinding duties as required.
  • Work independently or as a team member.
  • Work from complex drawings.
  • Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications
  • Work in a safe manner by following all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as defined and assigned by department supervisor, or lead hand.
  • Comply and perform all duties with the organizational set of standards.
  • Initiate and continually strive for maximum production efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Document and complete ITP reports.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area.
  • Upon completion of assigned work ensure adequate clean up and inspection of all weldments and fabricated parts as required.
  • Knowledge of welding process and set-up.
  • Blueprint reading
  • WHMIS and MSDS knowledge of all substances

Your Skills Set

  • Grade twelve education or equivalent.
  • Strong Math Skills must be able to apply measuring and test equipment required for the job.
  • Welding ability must meet accurate and detailed work requirements and guidelines.
  • Forklift Training / Crane Training and experience with other lifting equipment.
  • Ability to operate torch cutting, grinding equipment, and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Ability to pass all weld tests including SMAW / GMAW / AWS Weld Test (Flat / Horizontal Fillets & Groove) on a variety of selected materials
  • Excellent communication skills verbal, and written.
  • Ability to read understands, and interrupts blueprints, schematic designs, and application and weld symbols.
  • WHMIS Training
