ArcelorMittal Tubular Products The Tubular Products Division of ArcelorMittal is one of the world's largest and most diversified producers of pipe and tube products, servicing markets around the world from 24 different operating locations in 13 different countries. We produce and market a full spectrum of tubing products in an unparalleled range of sizes. The company is active in the Energy, Mechanical and Automotive markets. 

The North American Tubular Division is recruiting for a Sales Account Manager, reporting to the Commercial Director of North American Automotive Products. The primary function of this position is to develop, manage, and execute new business opportunities for automotive axle tubing, component, and sub-assemblies, which would align with ArcelorMittal Tubular Products North America's current and potential capabilities. You will manage commercial issues related to non-PPAP business following the latest quality/business system (IATF 16949), as well as interface with customer purchasing and engineering teams to clearly understand and support their commercial and development requirements. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 • Solicit new business opportunities with new and existing customers while creating a long-term partnership.

 • Investigate methods to increase current margins on existing book of business. 

• Provide insight into market trends and an understanding of the customer dynamics including - current supply streams, current issues with their supply stream and barriers to AMTP being awarded business

. • Manage customer RFQ deadlines/requirements/mechanisms/paperwork/prints/specs and remove any barriers in the process.

 • Follow up with customer’s buyer on any commercial issues and RFQs. Provide feedback on the competitiveness of our proposal and feedback on our competition’s price structure/production process. • Assist the New Business Development Manager (NBDM) in creating prototype proposals.

 • Support meetings with various groups at the customer’s to help them resolve their issue(s).

 • Secure all prototype business, with the goal of supplying DV (Design Validation) tubing for all future auto tubing programs.

 • Understand all the customer’s key milestone dates and what the level of product they require at each stage of their program. • Communicate to the customer AMTP’s current and potential capabilities.

 • Work closely with the customer to ensure that we set the program budgets based on the design that we have influenced.

 • Create and track all customer proposals.

 • Support the NBDM in issuing all Quotation letters including – breakdowns/print exceptions/tooling/detailed qualifications.

 • Track all open RFQ’s and provide feedback on competitiveness/potential/barriers to receiving the business. • Review and acknowledge all customer PO’s and issuing “New Part Sourced Memo”.

 • Support resolution of A/R issues in accordance with the NA Business Plan.

 • Create and support new business opportunities for AMTP. 

• Communicate with various departments/plants to ensure that customer requirements/issues are fully supported. 

• Provide month end reports, support the development of the annual business plan, 5 year strategy and MRF planning for their customer base. • Support Inside Sales Manager (ISM) as required on any open issues that cannot be resolved with their customer contact.

 EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field

 • Minimum 10 years' work experience in the North American automotive field

 • Must be able to regularly travel throughout North American to visit customers' facilities, as required (approximately 10-15 days per month)

 • Demonstrated performance, knowledge, and experience of manufacturing processes

 • Demonstrated performance, knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes/business systems.

 • Advanced knowledge of standard software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, SAP) is required.

 • Blue print reading.

 • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and time management skills i.e.: prioritization of tasks; ability to set/meet deadlines.

 • Strong analytical, decision-making, facilitation skills.
