Role Overview

As a Lead Analyst in Information Systems Engineering at TMMC, you will be responsible for leading a team of Analysts and Developers in the development and maintenance of systems in use locally at TMMC and globally at several other Toyota Manufacturing plants. You will work with internal customers to understand business processes and support translation to requirements for your team. You will be responsible for product planning, setting technical direction, advising your team on best practices, and leading development of systems.  In this role you will experience a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to projects, continuous improvement, problem/incident resolution and user requests.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage projects related to software development and/or system integrations
  • Work with customers to understand business processes and priorities
  • Develop new solutions to support our transformation into a Smart Factory of the Future using advanced technologies and cutting-edge capabilities that will enhance the Toyota Way & Toyota Production System (TPS) in a manufacturing environment
  • Prioritize and manage the backlog of requests, kaizens, and project work within a team
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of Analysts and Developers
  • Monitor, support, and guide analysts on daily and weekly tasks related to priority from the backlog
  • Work closely with business groups to define requirements and direction for supported applications
  • Define and observe a product roadmap for applications/systems supported by your team
  • Participate in onsite and after-hours support rotations
  • Coordinate deployments and support for systems at various plants in North America and globally
  • Travel to Toyota plants in North America supporting application deployment and maintenance

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree/diploma is required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience would be considered
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years relevant experience is required
  • Demonstrated applied software development experience
  • Proven problem identification and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate and document complex technical systems and decisions
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated success in driving and implementing changes
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage tasks in multiple complex projects
  • Ability to provide on-call support rotation for critical manufacturing applications and systems
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements as needed
  • Possible travel within North America as well as overseas
  • Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock plant locations

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working experience in an Agile Development environment
  • Experience with enterprise application development in Java and/or .net based environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the SAP S/4 Platform including FICO, MM and PM modules and ABAP development
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow platform
  • Software architecture experience
  • Experience working with manufacturing, data collection, and line control systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the system development life cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, significantly complex projects with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results
