Job Description
Qualifications
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent is required
-Physically able to perform the normal duties of the job, which includes: mopping of floors, vacuuming, bending, lifting, walking throughout shift, wiping fixtures, cleaning washrooms, cleaning in patient care areas and effective and safe operation of floor care machinery (i.e. burnishers, automatic floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners)
-Must be able to prioritize, organize, perform and complete job responsibilities in a self-directed manner
-Must be customer-focused
-Satisfactory performance appraisals and attendance records in present position if internal
-Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
-Ability to interact positively and work as a team member within own department and with other hospital departmental personnel
-Ability to handle stress and adapt to position demands
-Sensitivity to patient and staff requirements
-Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check
-Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses)
