Responsibilities:
- Lead the warehouse team on the day shift
- Delegate tasks to warehouse employees
- Train new hires and casual helpers
- Act as a liaison between Management and warehouse employees
- Establish and communicate team priorities
- Complete multiple leadership and direct labour tasks with minimal supervision
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate from secondary school, OSSD or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment in a leadership position
- 2-3 years’ experience using Warehouse Management System(s)
- Valid certifications for Forklift (Counterbalance, picker) and Fall Arrest
- Heavy lifting capability
- Strong computer skills
- Experience processing orders, data entry
- Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize workload
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid, demonstrated leadership skills with a proven history of leading teams to meet company objectives
- Reliable and punctual leader and team player with a great attitude
- Prior WHIMIS training
