Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Performs administrative duties for Parks and Recreation department including:
- Responds to telephone and counter inquiries,
- Receives and processes facility bookings and program registrations, using registration software,
- Shares knowledge of all programs with patrons,
- Monitors activities of public in change rooms and lobby,
- Knowledge and understanding of admission standards.
- Performs cashier duties including:
- Processes program registrations and fees,
- Receives admission fees and issues admissions for programs,
- Prepares daily cash reconciliation,
- Prepares bank deposit slips,
- Operates PerfectMind software and debit/credit card machine,
- Sells merchandise.
- Performs other facility-related duties.
- Works with general supervision.
- Assist customers with any concerns or questions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Grade 10 or equivalent and/or relevant experience would be considered.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with computers required.
Preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service and/or cash handling or accounting experience.
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED certification.
- Experience with registration software; use of PerfectMind Software considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Subject to frequent interruptions due to high volume of patron traffic in public office.
- Able to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends, late nights and holidays, depending on the needs of the facility.
- Hours of work will not exceed forty-eight (48) hours in a two-week period in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 – Inside Part-time Unit collective agreement.
