Job Description
We are seeking a high-energy employee with previous customer service experience in an office setting, a strong work ethic, and excellent interpersonal, organizational, telephone, and computer skills to handle customer service and related responsibilities between the hours of 9:00 and 5:00 from Monday to Friday. Overtime is sometimes required, especially during the late fall. Weekend work is expected on occasion.
Essential duties include processing incoming orders placed by Internet, e-mail, in person, and/or by telephone; contacting customers and potential customers; preparing product and/or price lists; establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships; upselling when opportunities present themselves; resolving customer issues; entering orders; assisting with order completion as needed; confirming back orders; processing return forms; helping to prepare marketing materials; and assisting with the preparation & processing of fundraising orders and related documentation.
Previous customer service experience is required, as is post-secondary education or equivalent. Familiarity with a wide range of cheese products would be a definite asset, as would Food Handler Certification, although the company will pay for such training if required. Excellent English language, math, telephone, interpersonal, and computer skills (ability to conduct research online & analyze the results obtained, generate & respond to e-mails and other correspondence, and use Word & Excel) are essential. Honesty & integrity, respect for sanitation & food safety standards, attention to detail, willingness & ability to problem solve and provide input to decision making are required. A valid driver's licence would be a definite asset.
Employees must provide an extra pair of shoes with closed toes to be worn at the workplace only. A hairnet/beard net and lab coat will be provided.
