ERTH is looking for a dynamic individual with proven experience to join our technical team as an Information Systems Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this position is focused in systems administration and is responsible for system and network operations, while also supporting, developing, testing and implementing various programs and IT systems. The Information Systems Specialist is an in person position, working at the Ingersoll office. 

 

Position responsibilities, but not limited to: 

  • Engaging and participating in the efficient design, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise systems hardware/software and associated infrastructure. 
  • Evaluate new and evolving technologies while analyzing business needs to propose solutions and providing recommendations for continuous improvements 
  • Planning, organizing and executing projects and support initiatives
  • Company-wide infrastructure administration of hardware & software
  • Providing IT support for both internal staff and external client stakeholders, providing corrective action, root cause analysis and implementation of improvements

Experience Required

Qualified applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered.

  • Post-Secondary School Graduation bachelor’s degree or diploma in the Information Technology field
  • Proven experience (minimum of 8 years) as an IT systems administrator with a focus on server administration, networking, cloud technologies and cyber security
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory 
  • Demonstrated experience specifying, installing, configuring and managing: hyper converged infrastructure solutions, next generation firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, web and email filtering, email, anti-virus systems, network access controls, security information and event management tools, storage area networks, network attached storage, data backup & recovery tools, load balancers, and virtualization
  • Professional certifications such as MCSE and/or CCNP are a strong asset
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS Cloud Platform. 
  • Experience with SSO implementation across SaaS applications 
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Nutanix or Scale
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure planning and development along with technical knowledge of hardware, protocols and standards
  • Capable of implementing and using business management software, documentation reporting solutions, and project management tools 
  • Process improvement and system integration experience with new technologies
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, commitment and a willingness to provide IT support outside business hours to support critical infrastructure 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on Quality Assurance and Incident Management
  • Experience managing hardware/software lifecycle and assigned projects
  • Certification and/or experience with network security is an asset
