Job Description

Organized and detail-oriented, you’ll be assisting to coordinate communication logistics including email campaigns, assist with event planning and execution, develop marketing materials and communication pieces, including presentations, social media posts, and news stories and profiles.

This position sets-up marketing campaigns and provides both website and campaign analytics on a regular basis. This position builds brand awareness by designing and maintaining our websites and social media accounts. 

You will also provide variety of office support and administrative duties, such as reception, resolving routine telephone and/or walk‐in inquiries, processing of invoices, composing a variety of standard documents and correspondence, scheduling of meetings, performing data entry, office supply ordering and establishing/maintaining our record retention. typing correspondence; preparing reports, forms, documents; photo copying, filing, data entry.

Experience Required

  • An understanding of the developmental services (DS) system in Ontario will be an asset 
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant in a relevant administrative role.
  • Familiarity with multi-media software such as Canva, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Word Press, Constant Contact or other similar programs 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies, 
  • Impeccable writing editing abilities 
  • Exemplary computer skills: strong proficiency in databases, web research, and MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, interpersonal, communication skills. 
  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms and marketing 
  • Familiarity with office equipment and basic IT troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for website updates is preferred.
  • Grant writing, graphic design and event planning experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
