Job Description
The Woodstock Police Service is accepting applications from internal and external applicants for the following position:
INFORMATION PROCESSING & DISCLOSURE CLERK (FULL-TIME)
The Woodstock Police Service is a municipal policing agency comprised of approximately 100 Officers and 50 Civilians who are dedicated to servicing the city of Woodstock, Ontario. Woodstock is a rapidly growing community situated along the highway 401 & 403 corridors between London and Toronto. Position:
The Information Processing & Disclosure Clerk shall be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to a variety of positions within the Service. Emphasis placed on Digital Evidence Management Systems (DEMS) support, which includes ensuring the effective operations of the collection, redaction and disclosure of digitally collected evidence along with processing information within the Court Services unit.
Court Services are responsible for ensuring all paperwork regarding judicial matters are completed accurately and made available for use of Officers of the court while adhering to legislative requirements.
This position requires a high degree of sensitivity to confidential matters and good interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be able to organize and prioritize tasks. Applicants must possess advanced knowledge of criminal and civil legal procedures and have moderate to advanced experience with the following software:
- NICHE/RMS
- CPIC
- Adobe Pro
- Power Point.
Previous experience working with the SCOPE system would be an asset.
Education
Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications:
- College Diploma in Law Enforcement or Legal Studies.
- Two (2) years of previous relevant work experience, including but not limited to employment in the area of judicial proceedings and systems.
- Proficient computer skills: Adobe Pro, Power Point, Excel, Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and view sensitive material on a regular basis.
- Must be available to work overtime to meet the needs of the organization when required.

- Shall be required to successfully undertake a thorough psychological evaluation
- Shall be required to provide sufficient information, including fingerprints, in order for an extensive background check to be completed prior to employment.
