Job Description

Third party contract working in a Multi climate controlled storage warehouse - Freezer , cooler , and dry locations. 

 

Job Duties

 

Picking up debris off the floors in all aisles and out of bins and bags. Debris could be cardboard sheets/corners, plastic wrap and pieces of wood from broken skids and any other garbage items ( paper, empty tubes from plastic wrap, twine). This is done through out entire warehouse in all locations. This avoids any tripping and slip hazards for other staff working in the building.  It is part of the job to maintain the cleanliness of the building. 

-Emptying garbage bins into garbage compactor, using a plastic baler to compact plastic collected through out warehouse.

-Cleaning up spills through out warehouse ASAP following specific SOPs. Some spills require some documentation. 

-Deep cleans in aisles using manual pump carts to move skids , remove any damages, wipe racking , sweep and mop the location.

-Pulling skids in assigned area with supplied equipment which requires bending and twisting and pulling .

 

It is a requirement that you be ok working in freezer (-25) freezer gear is supplied. As well as the cooler and dry locations.

 

Training is provided as well as all gear. 

You are required to supply your own CSA approved safety shoes . Must be 18 or older to work in the facility.

Warehouse cleaning experience.

Ability to multi task while still completing all your work.

Following instructions and good communication skills.
