It is our mission to be a leader in the provision of quality childcare programs, which are affordable and accessible to families in Woodstock and the surrounding communities, delivered by professional and caring Educators.


LOCATION: Good Beginnings’ Administrative Office (871 Dundas St., Woodstock, ON)
(potential for hybrid working model)
START DATE: October 2024
HOURS: 40 hours per week
COMPENSATION
RATE OF PAY: $28.19 after successful probationary period, $27.37 during probationary period

POSITION SUMMARY
Good Beginnings is seeking to hire an exceptional individual to fill a Human Resources Coordinator – Staffing and Development role.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to conduct full cycle recruitment and provide mentorship, training and support to the employees. They will integrate Good Beginnings’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging values into their environment. They are to ensure that the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors, regulations
under the Child Care and Early Years Act, and the Confidentiality Agreements are adhered to within the Early Learning environments. They will actively promote the Mission, Vision, and Program Statements of Good Beginnings Day Nursery Woodstock Inc.


Under the direction of the Director of Finance and Human Resources, this individual will primarily be responsible for:
Full cycle recruitment including:
o Working collaboratively with the Supervisory team to determine staffing needs
o Preparing job postings, screening/selection, conducting interviews, extending contracts
o Conducting regular orientation of new hires and organize onboarding
o Assisting in organizing probationary, and annual, performance appraisals
 Updating and maintaining accurate and complete electronic & hard copy personnel records in accordance with applicable legislation
 Implementing employee/personnel programs, including skills development training and health and safety programs
 Organizing and facilitating ongoing training for all employees
 Other duties to assist the Human Resources team as required

Prior to beginning in the role, this individual would be required to obtain and provide satisfactory documentation in
accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014. This includes, but is not limited to:
o Police Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
o Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
o Immunization Records

QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a passionate and professional individual who possess the following qualifications:
 Post-secondary Education in the field of Human Resources
 Relevant Human Resources experience; i.e. recruiting, training, administration
 Experience in the child care and/or non-profit sector would be considered a strong asset
 Exceptional computer skills specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
 Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects/competing deadlines
 Excellent interpersonal communication skills including verbal, written, and facilitating presentations
 Joint Health and Safety Certification would be considered an asset
