Job Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate and Protective Services, the Strategic Initiatives Coordinator will provide leadership in the development and delivery of strategies and initiatives, as well as various projects that advance Council’s strategic and emerging priorities. The position acts as strategic advisor to the Chief Administrative Officer, as well as the Executive Leadership Team, working in collaboration with key stakeholders. The Strategic Initiatives Coordinator will also be responsible for leading and overseeing research, planning and implementation of corporate communication activities and policy development initiatives.

Education

Bachelor Degree

Experience Required

  • Successful completion of a University Degree in Public or Business Administration, Political Sciences or Economics, related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a related field;
  • One (1) to two (2) years demonstrated experience in managing or coordinating policy related projects, implementing communication strategies and/or researching, analyzing and summarizing large amounts of data.
