Job Description

Tool Crib Coordinator is responsible for performing functions to ensure that production is supported for their tooling needs.  Will assist the Maintenance Buyer with purchasing when necessary.   

Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                   

  • Manage Tool Crib inventory, barcoding, scanning, new part set-up in SupplyPro/MaintainX and inventory locations                                                                                       
  • Manage cycle counts & reporting-Tool Crib                                                                                           
  • Manage inventory stock levels by assisting in the creating of inventory control techniques; monitoring minimum and maximum stock levels                                                           
  • Research and analyze inventory discrepancies, make adjustments according to cycle counting and physical inventory counts. 
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels                       
  • Broach and Coil management; order management (new and resharps), inventory management and storage management                                                                                                   
  • Potential for purchase orders placement when needed for items outside of VMI support   
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and carry out projects as assigned outside of this scope

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Skill/Effort Requirements:                                                                                                                               

  • Good communication and organizational skills                                                                                   
  • Computer literate and familiar with purchasing software                                                               
  • Tooling knowlege an asset                                                                                                                             
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with frequent interruptions                               
  • Ability to work under pressure/stress                                                                                                       
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly and effectively
