Job Description
Overview:
As a Full-Time Welder Fitter, you will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to specifications, and shop drawings. You will use various welding techniques and fitting practices to ensure the structural integrity of the finished products. You will also be expected to troubleshoot, maintain welding equipment, and ensure the quality of all work performed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld and fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to drawings, and project specifications.
- Perform MIG welding process.
- Communicate effectively with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues and ensure quality control.
- Inspect welds, uniformity, and compliance with quality standards.
- Use measurement tools such as tape measure to ensure accuracy.
Skills:
- Proficiency with welding equipment, and grinders.
- Strong understanding of welder setup, and quality standards.
- Ability to measure and cut metal components.
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and machine tools.
Education
Experience Required
Experience:
- Proven experience as a welder, fitter, or metal fabricator (typically 2+ years).
- Experience in reading and interpreting drawings, and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding process.
