About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material-handling equipment. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with your hands, and contributing to a supportive team environment, this job is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment, including electric, propane, diesel, and gas-powered models.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Replace or repair defective parts, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete repair orders efficiently.
- Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or preventative measures.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies during repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a forklift mechanic. (2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and a team-oriented attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical certifications a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
