About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material-handling equipment. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with your hands, and contributing to a supportive team environment, this job is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment, including electric, propane, diesel, and gas-powered models.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Replace or repair defective parts, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete repair orders efficiently.
• Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or preventative measures.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies during repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a forklift mechanic. (2+ years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and a team-oriented attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical certifications a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
