Job Description

Total Swine Genetics is a well-established boar stud located in Tillsonburg, Ontario with a great team. We house boars (male pigs) for our genetic partners and collect semen that is sold to our customers across Southwestern Ontario. We run production 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), with delivery of the product occurring on the following days. 

 

Role description: Working to check and pack customer orders of boar semen in a fast-paced environment. Need to be proficient with computers, and cellphones. Need to be able to learn the different genetic companies sold and the lines within each genetic company, customer names and delivery routes. 

 

Hours: Wednesdays from 2:00-7:00 pm and Fridays from 2:00-8:00 pm, with the occasional Mondays to cover vacations. 

 

Job duties: 

-Working with the logistics manager to understand the orders of each day 

-Unloading tubes from shuttle drivers and placing them in the correct section of the cooler to cool 

- Working with the two other shipping staff, packing tubes into individual packages based on customer orders. Placing these packages into different sections of the cooler based on delivery routes.

-Organizing and packing supplies that are ordered by customers

-Packing packages of tubes into coolers based on delivery routes 

-Carefully double checking all orders for the day to ensure that all orders were properly filled and correcting any errors. 

-Ensuring that everything is packed and prepared for the drivers to depart for their routes the next morning

-Can work independently to finish a shift if need be

-Need to be able to work on your feet for the entire shift

-Can check voicemail and text phone at the end of the day for late orders
