We are seeking a motivated self-started with experience in retail management to bring their expertise to the table and run our store as if it were their own! The full-time role of Retail Store Manager requires a keen eye for details and a dedication to customer satisfaction.
The primary function of this role is to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the Farm & Table store. You will be tasked with optimizing sales and customer satisfaction through monitoring all functions of customer service, merchandising, procurement, marketing, training, and administration. Monthly reviews and reports on sales numbers,
Our store operates Monday-Saturday, the hours for this role will be Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday hours are filled by part-time staff as scheduled by the retail store manager and may be required when coverage is needed.
Job Duties
- Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the Farm & Table store.
- Review market research and trends to determine consumer demand, sales potential, impacts of competitors, and discover new products & vendors
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
- Procurement, purchasing, and receiving of all products for the store
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for promoting increased sales in-store, online, and through point-of-sale locations
- Monitor monthly revenues and present sales strategies and reports outlining sales and marketing efforts
- Evaluate and improve customer service and resolve all customer requests and issues
- Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of retail store staff
- Manage policy and procedures as it relates to the retail store
- Manage closing and reconciliation of cash and credit accounts
Education
Experience Required
- Experience working as a retail store manager
- Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft suites, accounting software, Database software, e-commerce, and other business software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Fluent in English
- Understanding of accounting practices and familiarity with standard financial reports
- Strong phone etiquette and active listening skills
- Ability to analyze customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Able to lift up to 60lbs
