Human Resources Manager

As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the full HR & Health & Safety cycle, acting as a vital link between leadership and employees. Leading a small but dynamic HR team with two direct reports, you will collaborate to assess existing programs, identify areas for improvement, and implement best-practice solutions that support the growth and success of our company.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
Position Details:
- Permanent Full Time
- Woodstock, ON
- Hybrid work opportunity
- Hours of work – Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
- Flexibility of availability may be required outside core business hours based on business demands to fulfil responsibilities of the role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead HR Strategy: Develop and implement human resources programs that align with our Vision, Mission, and Values
- Empower Your Team: Support and mentor the HR team to ensure they achieve their goals and grow professionally
- Drive Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal and provincial employment legislation and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Foster Continuous Improvement: Analyze existing HR programs, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions
- Be a Partner: Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, providing guidance and support on HR and safety matters
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Experience: You have 5+ years of HR management experience and hold a CHRL or CHRP designation
- Hands-On: You bring a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to managing HR and safety needs
- Knows the Rules: You are knowledgeable in both federal and provincial employment legislation and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Thinks Strategically: You excel at strategy development, problem-solving, and critical thinking
- People Person: You are a natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport at all levels
- Thrives in Entrepreneurial Settings: You understand the nuances of working in a smaller, privately held company and embrace an entrepreneurial spirit
