Overview
Reviews sales numbers and orders products based on customer demand and seasonal trends. Responsible for updating Vendor contact information and renewing Vendor contracts.
Assist management in making reservations, travel arrangements, greets all customers/guests, organizes vehicle maintenance, and orders all office and breakroom supplies as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manages purchase orders process by overseeing shipping schedules and working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders identifying discrepancies.
- Sees that an inventory management review is performed at least quarterly to minimize any unplanned outages.
- Orders routine products based on customer demand.
- Reviews purchasing agreements with vendors and notifies Purchasing Manager when contracts need to be renegotiated due to vendors performance or significant change in volume vs when original contract when originally negotiated.
- Conducts ongoing market to identify beneficial purchase agreements and potential new vendors.
- Manages inbound logistics coordinating shipments, overseeing the transportation of raw materials from suppliers to warehouse.
- Handles office tasks, such as filing, generating reports, presentations, setting up for meetings and reordering supplies.
- Provides real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and arranging travel and reservations.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
Education
Experience Required
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain vendor relationships
Direct experience with spreadsheet computer applications
Ability to use purchasing software.
Work authorization: Canada (Required)
Valid Drivers License required
Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 1 - 2 years of experience in a purchasing supporting position
In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems
