Job Description
Andrew Heikoop Construction (AHC Paving) is a family owned and operated paving contractor. We are looking for a part-time dump truck driver to join our team in the 2025 season (April-Nov).
The position would be approx. 2-4 days of driving per week during the paving season, There would be possibility to make it a full time (5 day week) position if the candidate would be interested to help on our paving crew when not driving.
Duties would include:
- Safe and compliant operation of tandem and triaxle dump trucks
- Picking up materials at local gravel pits, quarries, and asphalt plants
- Hauling materials from job sites to recycling facilities and dump sites
- Assisting as required with maintaining a safe and tidy jobsite
Education
Experience Required
Candidate must have the following:
AZ or DZ driver with clean driving abstract
3 yr minimum driving experience
Experience driving trucks with manual transmission
Work independently and follow instructions.
Be able to proficiently use GPS technology such as Google Maps
Experience operating and/or floating paving/heavy equipment considered an asset
