Job Description
As part of a team, the Home Child Care Consultant recruits and retains eligible independent home child care providers for affiliation with the agency. Consultants provide mentoring, support, monitoring and compliance verification. Caseloads range across Oxford County. HCC Consultants are a liaison between providers and families and promote positive, collaborative relationships.
Education
Experience Required
Required:
- a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education
- registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario
- a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in a licensed child care setting
- leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- current First Aid and CPR-Level C
- valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
- administrative experience an asset
- A clean vulnerable person’s screen will be required from the successful applicant after an offer of employment is accepted.
Candidates must be able to work flexible hours including occasional evenings, weekends or split shifts. Additional hours may be necessary. Candidates must be able to regularly and immediately travel within Oxford County and occasionally travel outside of Oxford County.
