Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role will ensure the seamless operation of our properties, focusing on property maintenance, transportation, and IT services. The Coordinator will oversee the operational activities, manage maintenance and IT staff, and collaborate with contractors to deliver a safe and compliant living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Service Delivery: Supervise and support the maintenance and IT staff, ensuring compliance with legislative guidelines and organizational policies.

Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations of maintenance, IT, and transportation services, focusing on financial management and customer service.

Property Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and oversee maintenance operations to ensure quality standards and safety compliance.

Work Order Management: Prioritize and manage work orders, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Capital Planning: Collaborate with management on property renovations and upgrades, identifying needs and budgetary requirements for projects.

Budget Management: Prepare and oversee maintenance budgets, ensuring effective resource use and competitive vendor pricing.

Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Establish relationships with contractors and oversee their work to ensure it meets specifications and budget.

Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports for management.

Team Leadership: Train and develop staff, fostering teamwork and effective communication.

Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to health and safety regulations and conduct safety training for staff.

Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency plans for maintenance-related issues.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and stay current with industry best practices.

Administrative Duties: Maintain documentation and participate in team meetings to enhance program effectiveness.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

Qualifications:

Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Facility Management, or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance, facilities management, or related field; supervisory experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools.

Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.

Excellent organizational skills and experience managing competing priorities.

Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in diverse work conditions.

Strong leadership qualities with experience in mentoring staff.

Physical Demands:

The position requires moderate to considerable physical effort, including on-site training and participation in maintenance operations.

Personal Suitability:

Initiative in providing proactive support and addressing challenges.

Ability to foster respectful relationships within a diverse community.
