HOURS: 35 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $21.43 per hour to start, with increase after successful probationary period

Good Beginnings is a non-profit corporation that has been providing high-quality early learning and child care programs in Oxford County since 1986. With a Board of Directors comprised of parents/guardians and community representatives, it is our mission to be a leader in the provision of quality child care programs, which are affordable and accessible to families in Woodstock and the surrounding communities, delivered by professional and caring Educators.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking to hire an exceptional individual to fulfill an Administrative Assistant – Finance role. The successful candidate will be a reliable, friendly, energetic and engaged individual. This individual will report to the Director of Finance and Human Resources and will be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative support duties. Please note, this is an in-office role with no remote or hybrid work options available.
Job Responsibilities
• Monthly Billing of Child Care attendances
• Data entry and financial auditing for Canada Wide Early Learning Child Care program (CWELCC)
• Communicating with families regarding past due accounts and payment plans
• Cross-train within Finance Department to provide back-up support when necessary
• Learn various in-house software programs
• Full duties of the job description will be provided at the time of the interview
Education
Experience Required
Required Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting role, with emphasis on accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting etc.
• Exceptional computer skills, especially proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel are particularly required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Efficient, organized, and able to multi-task
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Current and satisfactory Police Record check, acceptable to Good Beginnings
