Our facility is built at the highest standard with safety in mind. With the right background and the right attitude, this job could be perfect for you especially if you are wanting to move away from maintaining older equipment or the hazards associated with ammonia at the same pay rate.
If this is you, you might have just what it takes to be an Industrial Refrigeration technician with Dot Foods. Our food distribution warehouse will be utilizing state of the art CO2 cooling technology and controls to operate our freezer and cooler, and we need the right person to operate and maintain safely and efficiently. While you might not know our systems inside and out just yet, your background in freon or ammonia will be easily applied.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Monitor, operate and maintain our CO2 refrigeration system. Conduct inspections, diagnose for irregularities and malfunctions.
Provide routine support for other non-refrigeration building equipment such as office hvac and dock equipment.
Create and train other operators on SOPs for the system.
Perform various inspections on equipment to ensure safety and coordinated with vendors and contractors as needed.
Work with various teams to develop and implement safety procedures.
Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

Education
Experience Required
YOU MUST HAVE
High school diploma or general equivalency degree
Class A, Chief Operator license
Minimum of 4 years in engineering or maintenance.
Strong knowledge in motor controls, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
Good physical condition and agility
Safety first mindset
Ability to use SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus)
Sufficient vision and hearing
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
Technical training in HVAC-R, electric and plumbing
Knowledge in water treatment
