Job Description:
Production
- Meet daily production targets set by management for products within the department, ensure transparency with management when deadlines cannot be met
- Use production BOMs in making end items from raw materials, ensure that items meet product standards, are labelled properly and finished products are packaged correctly. Keep a record of completed orders/ units manufactured
- Ensure all products (raw materials and finished products) meet Lind’s QC standards; in any case of variances or deficiencies make corrective action and inform employees of the change
- Capture real-time data and report any variances between the production time on BOMs and real-time
- Use downtime wisely, during this that time help with site clean-up and other duties as required
- Complete special projects and provide back up support to other departments as needed
Workplace Organization
- Ensure all components and subassemblies used in production have a designated location and report any variances to management
- Return unused materials as orders are completed to ensure the organization of products
- Maintain a clean and orderly working environment to improve overall efficiency and safety
- Make suggestions on how to improve processes that will increase productivity, quality and accuracy, specifically in the production process
Health and Safety:
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety policies and practices, housekeeping protocols and WHIMIS protocols, if in any case you feel a procedure is unsafe please report to management
- Reduce workplace hazards by identifying any concerns with tools and equipment used, remove and/or tag damaged or defective tools
- Responsible for safely operating hand tools/ power tools to assemble high quality lighting products
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate a passion for teamwork in daily interactions and learning in all areas of work
- Manage specific projects in a detail-oriented manner
- Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50lbs on a continuous basis
- Electrical Assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
- Comfortable working in a Manufacturing/Warehouse environment
- Personal protective equipment provided or required
