Job Summary
The Electrical Panel Technician plays a critical role in the electrical manufacturing and production process for Lind Equipment. This person will help facilitate all electrical production including product assembly and inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and Interpreting Schematics and Blueprints:
· Understand and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to accurately wire and assemble electrical panels.
Panel Assembly and Wiring
· Mounting components, routing and bundling wires, and making point-to-point connections according to specifications.
Testing and Troubleshooting
· Testing the assembled panels to ensure proper functionality and identifying and resolving any wiring errors or component malfunctions.
Compliance and Safety
· Ensuring that all work complies with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations is crucial.
Documentation
· Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including red-line drawing mark-ups and changes made during production
Material Management:
· Assisting with material ordering, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
· Strong understanding of electrical principles and practices.
· Proficiency in relevant software and tools related to the electrical field
· Thorough understanding of wiring processes, techniques, and safety procedures.
· Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during panel construction and testing.
Communication and Collaboration:
· Working effectively with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Strong time management skills
· Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects and production times effectively.
Health and Safety:
· Understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures.
· Strictly adhere to all health and safety policies and practices, housekeeping protocols and WHIMIS protocols, if in any case you feel a procedure is unsafe, please report to management
· Complete and/or file in house safety documents as required and notify management if there are any concerns
Experience:
Proven experience in manufacturing electrical panel or similar role within the manufacturing industry
Experience in electrical panel wiring and assembly is highly desirable Minimum 3 years
