Volunteer Job Description
If you have a desire to provide one-on-one support to a newcomer to Canada, we invite you to join our volunteer team!
Through the Newcomer Mentorship Program (NMP), newcomers can meet a NMP Volunteer who can help with adjustments to a new life in Canada. It is a program designed to match newcomers with established community members for social connections and emotional support. NMP volunteers will assist newcomers as they become acquainted with their new community, the resources available to them, and encourage them to fully participate in community activities.
Experience Required
Volunteers will commit to a minimum of 4 hours a month with their match for a minimum 6 month time commitment.
