Volunteer Job Description

Join our team at VON Oxford!  We’re currently looking for a volunteer for our Fund Development team - this role will assist Fund Development with data entry, general administrative duties, communications and event support.

PROGRAM/SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fund Development Assistant:

  • Data input
  • Event support
  • General admin tasks (photocopies, filing, packages)
  • Communications support
  • Other duties as requested by the Coordinator

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fulfill time commitment as agreed
  • Arrange schedule of volunteer activities with VON staff member
  • Contact appropriate person(s) as soon as possible if unable to make a scheduled assignment
  • Work within parameters of your position description
  • Provide services as requested and mutually agreed with VON staff member
  • Work towards fulfillment of program/department goals
  • Communicate concerns, comments or suggestions to the coordinator when appropriate regarding client’s condition/situation
  • Submit reports and keep accurate records as applicable
  • Participate in on-going review of service delivery processes and evaluation
  • Adhere to VON Canada policies
