Community Employment Services is a diverse, holistic organization with primary focuses on employment, training, economic growth and prosperity. We have been delivering Federal, Provincial and Municipal programming and supports to our community for the past 39 years.

Our mission is “to create opportunities, via programs and support, for the empowerment of individuals to become effective contributors in society and to nurture the economic vitality of Oxford by ensuring businesses have the talent and support they require to thrive”.

We are extremely broad based in our approaches to address the needs of the entire person and the specific unique needs of our business community. We utilize collaborative approaches with a myriad of partners to address barriers and peripheral challenges to success. While our services are available free to everyone, Youth, Newcomers and those facing socio-economic challenges are priority demographics. We have been recognized provincially and nationally for the innovative approaches we initiate to drive positive impact.

We are looking for people who possess:

• Sensitivity to and understanding of issues and barriers related to employment faced by diverse socio-economic groups
• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in meeting community needs.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with Community resources in Oxford County.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with Employers in Oxford County.
• A commitment to a collaborative team approach with a positive attitude towards challenges and change.
• Positivity, empathy and desire to make a difference.
• Must be cleared by a Criminal Record Check.
