Job Description
Supports the effective and efficient delivery of Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) practices at Woodingford Lodge in accordance with our vision, mission and value statements.
Education
Experience Required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Demonstrates experience implementing IPAC practices, continuous quality improvement training and education in infectious diseases, cleaning and disinfection, data collection and trends analysis, reporting protocols, outbreak management, asepsis, microbiology, adult education, epidemiology and program management.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Current CPR certificate is required.
- Completion of or willingness to complete IPAC Core Competency training for Long-Term Care Homes.
- Certification in or a willingness to achieve certification in Infection Control from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) within 2 years.
- Completion of Joint Health and Safety Committee training, as approved by the Chief Prevention Office (CPO) of the Ministry of Labour is an asset.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team to deliver programs, services and outcomes.
- Proven ability to meet the required competencies for this position in alignment with Oxford County’s competency framework.
- Demonstrated leadership and adult education abilities
- Valid Ontario driver’s license.
