Job Description
The Township of Blandford-Blenheim is inviting applications for a well-organized and resourceful individual to join the Finance Department in the role of Finance/ Customer Service Clerk.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Processing of accounts receivable and cash receipts, including property taxes;
- General accounting duties such as creating/posting journal entries, and ongoing reconciliations;
- Acting as a primary contact person for the Municipality, providing excellent customer service.
Education
Experience Required
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum of two years working in an accounting environment with cash handling experience;
- College Diploma in accounting or business considered an asset;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Ability to learn new software, experience working with Laserfiche and Keystone Software considered an asset;
- Strong communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) as well as organizational, customer service and time management skills;
- Ability to multi-task, to work with interruptions, and to display common sense and patience.
