Job Description

  • You have the skills to assist people with barriers to employment to seek and maintain employment through a process of skill development, decision-making and job search. 
  • You are a team player.
  • You are open minded, accepting of others’ differences.
  • You are creative in ways of introducing a variety of techniques to on-site job training and community experiences.
  • You can work professionally, interact well with others and are tolerant of others who may be intolerant of you.
  • You have excellent listening skills.
  • You have excellent communication and accurate writing skills.
  • You have proven ability through experience in job development and on the job coaching.

  • You use counselling techniques to promote a positive, pro-active work environment, which seeks to build self –esteem and confidence, etc.   
  • You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree/diploma in a social service field or employment/business field.
  • You have further education and training related to employment. 
  • You have current First Aid, CPR and NVCI
  • You have a valid Ontario driver’s license and a reliable car to use for work.
