Retail Sales Associate

 We are looking for a creative, energetic, and dynamic individual who is passionate about creating outstanding customer experiences. You are respectful and friendly towards others, and you thrive working in a group. Previous paint experience is an asset, however, not a requirement.

 We are looking for the right person to join our team and we are willing to train to ensure continued success in the future of this department. 

Duties/Responsibilities

• Providing colour and paint product selection advice.
• Receiving product, merchandising and restock of shelves
• Staying current with trends in the industry and assisting with home decor items.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise in store and various departments.
• Cashier duties with products being sold.
• Update pricing on merchandise, bins, displays etc. as necessary.
• Build special displays and signage for sales, promotions, and other special events.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year paint store experience such as colour matching, sales and marketing, knowledge of Paint & Decor products, would be an asset.
• Ability to work every second Saturday.
• A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communications, skills, exceptional organization ability, high attention to detail and creative abilities for working on home decor displays.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere.
• Willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs to assist with customers orders.
• Ability to stand for an extended period.
