Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a Mental Health setting is essential.
• Proficiency in electronic patient records including: Cerner Scheduling System, Powerchart, as well as Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and tact.
• Excellent organizational, typing and computer application skills.
• Able to manage staffing and scheduling with proficiency and accuracy
• Able to take minutes at meetings and assist with the development of agendas
• Able to handle potentially difficult and/or volatile situations with clients in a calm manner is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills
• NVCI training is required.
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary hospital and community team environment.
• Assist with administrative student supervision as needed.
• Participate in internal/external committees/working groups as assigned.
• Provide support to the Director of Mental Health services as required.
• Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence.
• Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check.
• Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses)
