Job Description

We are a Long Term Care Home that is municipally owned and operated by Oxford County. We have three locations in Southwest Ontario, and are well known in the community for our dedicated team providing compassionate and respectful resident-centered care.

WHAT WE OFFER:

· Shift premiums (for afternoons, nights, and weekends) + scheduled wage progression

· Paid breaks including lunch during an 8 hour shift

· Schedule provided 6 weeks in advance through electronic scheduling software

· Majority of shifts are 8 hours

· Opportunity to participate in or transfer pension plans from OMERS and HOOPP. OMERS is a defined pension plan that is comparable to HOOPP.

MAIN DUTIES:

Cleans bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and social service areas on a routine basis, using a variety of cleaning methods and equipment; sorts, washes, dries, irons, presses and identifies all linen and resident clothing; porters residents to the dining room for their meals; assists residents at meal time, inclusive of feeding.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Grade 10 education

· Ability to understand both written and oral instructions.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Able to work as part of a team.

  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle with insurance.
  • Able to travel to all 3 locations
