Job Description

Custodians (Temporary to Permanent)

We are looking for Facility Services Team Members focussed on customer service and student success.  Custodians are responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning and preventative maintenance of school facilities and grounds. Experience and knowledge of mechanical and building operations is an asset, however, training is provided.  Facility Services is a department focussed on providing a clean and safe environment for students, employee wellness and success, and customer service.  We provide ongoing training as well as professional development.  This position offers room for growth and advancement within the organization. The ability to understand and respond to the needs of diverse school communities is a requirement of this position. Successful candidates will be required to carry out both verbal and written instructions.

Temporary Custodians have the opportunity to work in a variety of locations and gain valuable experience, and may be scheduled to work at any of our school sites in London, Elgin Middlesex and Oxford Counties. Currently there is a high need within our Oxford County sites. The ability to travel and work on an on-call basis, are requirements for this position. Hours of work may vary but are not limited to 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. When school is not in session daytime hours are a possibility.

Qualifications: Proof of a secondary school graduation or equivalent is required. Applications without this confirmation will not be considered.

Rate of Pay: $24.04 per hour + 4% vacation pay
