Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent is required
• Competence with computer and keyboarding required
• Medical terminology required
• Registration experience required
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention required
• Experience with CERNER, Powerchart, First Net preferred
• Previous experience working in Emergency required
• Excellent communication and public relations skills
• Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and be flexible and adaptive to change
• Switchboard experience an asset
• Documented commitment to continuing education through
In-service, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
• Experience with working in fast paced multi-disciplinary setting
• Participates in department and hospital committees
• Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
• Must be able to work night shifts and weekends
• Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position for internal candidates
• Satisfactory attendance is required for internal candidates
• Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check.
• Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses)
