This position reports to the Director of Finance. This role provides dedicated financial and statistical information, analysis and strategic problem solving to both clinical and non-clinical teams throughout the organization, to assist in making financial decisions. Excellence is measured by meeting time requirements and overall accuracy of financial data within the framework of established WH financial practices and CPA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary level accounting / professional accounting designation
- Working knowledge of CICA (Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants) standards for not for profit accounting
- Minimum 3-5 years full cycle accounting experience, including 1 year hospital experience
- Knowledge of Ontario Hospital Reporting Standards level 1 and 2 is preferred
- Experience working in an integrated financial software environment programs such as Great Planes, HRCM, HRIS or Cerner is an asset
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in interacting with various levels of staff members
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
- Tactful, innovative, and self-motivated
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products, with expert level Excel skills is required to complete necessary tasks
- Satisfactory Attendance for internal applicants

- Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses)
