Eastern Fabricators is a division of AGI Food, a Canadian industry leader in designing, building, and installing custom engineered stainless steel food processing systems. We specialize in food and seafood processing systems but design and build a wide variety of stainless-steel products in the marketplace.

The Opportunity

We are actively seeking Fabricators to add to our production team in our Woodstock, ON facility. In this role, you will fabricate and Integrate assemblies, install, trouble shoot and repair Food Processing Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work from engineering drawings to fit and assemble parts to specifications indicated.
• Use established methods, procedures, and other assembly techniques as directed in the building of automation equipment.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials, machine-tool build assembly drawings.
• Perform all tool room related tasks including machining, turning, grinding, measuring, and fitting.
• Observe devises in operation, locate root cause problems, and develop solutions both short and long term.
• Perform machine adjustments and improvements as required.
• Comply with internal quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal apprenticeship or technical college program preferred.
• Certificate of Qualification for a Millwright, Fabricator, Tool & Die Maker, or Machine Tool Builder and Integrator.
• At least 3 years’ experience in machine building is preferred.
• Experience Tig welding stainless steel, experience with food grade welding preferred.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in machinery and production processes
• Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
• Must be flexible with working hours and have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to travel up to 20% to customer sites to support installation and service.
