Job Description
Join our Front Desk team. This position is a key part of the overall success of our Inn. It is very important that the individual possesses a strong outgoing personality, with an ability to pay close attention to details. The successful candidate should be able to work well with others while demonstrating an ability to work unsupervised. We are proud of our strong reputation for great customer service, and this guides us with everything we do.
Responsibilities and Duties
Be reliable, polite, a problem solver, and able to handle stress and multi-tasking.
Greet guests in a friendly manner and follow check-in procedures
Answer guest inquiries about the Inn, spa and dining services in a timely manner
Take payments and post charges accurately to guest accounts
Follow set policies regarding cash handling
Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed
Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and use accurate rate quoting
Communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner
Operate multi-line switchboard with pleasant and efficient telephone etiquette
Accurately communicate with other shifts regarding issues arising from day to day operations
Other duties as required
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications and Skills
Previous hotel and customer service experience strongly preferred
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal essential
Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated strong customer service skills
Past experience with Maestro Hotel Software is an asset
Front desk HOTEL: 2 years (required)
