Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Finkle. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen while upholding our standards of excellence in food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to execute the restaurant's menu and maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, such as the grill, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and plated to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on proper cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the Head Chef or Sous Chefs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to sanitation and safety standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to develop new menu items, features, and seasonal dishes.

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or line cook in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
  • Strong culinary skills and the ability to execute recipes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
  • You MUST be able to adhere to our code of conduct and values.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.

Wage Details

$18 - $20 per hour
