Job Description

  1. Work with and assist our CFIA Inspectors and third party food safety auditors
  2. Responsible for the maintenance of food safety programs within the facility thereafter.
  3. Maintain high visibility on the manufacturing floor to ensure production and warehouse staff comply with all GMPs and ensure all in process, and finished goods meet specifications.
  4. Performs routine inspections on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), compliance to product specifications, non-conforming material and standard work
  5. Tracks and supports resulting corrective actions
  6. Supports plant trials and research and development through sample collection, testing monitoring and documenting results
  7. Quality inspection of the products to maintain our premium standards.
  8. Establish and follow written regulatory procedures.
  9. Issue purchase orders and contact suppliers
  10. Maintain inventory records

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

  1. Proficient in Windows/MS Office
  2. Good written and oral communication skills, including report writing
  3. Must be willing to be a hands on performer and spend some time on production floor
  4. Ability to research and effectively obtain pertinent information from the Internet
  5. Strong attention to detail, thorough in creating and reviewing documentation
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with strong organizational skills
  7. Knowledge of BRC and HACCP programs and procedures preferred
  8. Post Secondary Education in science or related field is preferred
