Job Description

Job Summary 

Under direct supervision, the Assembler I will be responsible for assembling various Salford products and components according to Standard Operating Procedures. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that each product assembled meets the required quality and efficiency Standards. 

 Responsibility 

  • Independently assemble and package machines following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to our standard or average allotted times  
  • Operate small hand tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needs.  
  • Maintain a clean work area and equipment  
  • Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when required  
  • Safely load and unload parts on and from the main paint line  
  • Check Individual output to ensure highest quality  
  • Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts  
  • Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, company rules, policies, and procedures  
  • Assist other team members and take on other duties as assigned by the lead hand or supervisor  
  • Troubleshoot minor hydraulic/ electrical issues  

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Academic/Educational Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred  

Required Skills/Experience 

  • Experience working with hydraulics, electronic equipment, and other mechanical work is preferred  

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail  

  • Safe operation of Forklift and overhead cranes  

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools  

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device  

  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify mechanical errors  

  • Must be organized, proactive, and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace  

  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided)  

  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
